They are all your friends, as well as your warriors, which you pit in battle through a variety of related CARD AND ROLE PLAYING GAMES. You used to engage in various forms of MORE EXTREME ROLEPLAYING with some of your other friends before you had an accident.

You like to engage in the noble practice of ALTERNIAN SLAM POETRY, possibly the oldest, most revered, and certainly freshest artform in your planet's rich history. You have a profound fascination with the concept of FLIGHT, and all lore surrounding the topic. You believe in FAIRIES, even though they AREN'T REAL.

As introduced in my words:

Tavros Nitram is one of the twelve Beta trolls in Homestuck, and acts as one of the comic's many side characters. She is a bronzeblood, a Prospit dreamer, and the one and only Page of Breath.

When we first see Tavros in the comic as adiosToreador trolling Dave Strider, we can see that she absolutely sucks at trolling. And being a troll in general...

Tavros, due to her softer upbringing and demeanor, doesn't conform to Alternian norms and ideals, nor does she wish to. She is far more friendly and less hostile when compared to the rest of her friends, and this non-conformity extends to her interests as well, as she plays games for girls, card games for nerds, and consume media for children, all in a partiarchal and aggressive society that pressures its citizens to mature quickly.

At her core, Tavros is very much an outlier and the runt of the group. She's the complete opposite of Alternia’s “heartless, greater-good-focused, subservient, upstanding troll” ideal, and is instead the passionate, somewhat self-interested, stubborn, socially awkward geek. Does she have any intent on changing? No! And that’s her best trait.

But life as an outlier is not easy, as many people do want her to change. Tavros is frequently pressured to act different, think different, and to like different things. To follow what people see as success and to prevent her from succeeding in her own way.

Thanks to that, Tavros has a bit of an inferiority complex. Even if she doesn’t consistently push herself to change for the “better”, it’s clear that she has some serious self-esteem issues, shown through several instances of putting herself down and considering herself as something lesser.

Tavros herself and her peers misdiagnose her issues as a lack of self-confidence— despite her being very confident in herself and her beliefs —and even though it’s out of good intentions, it’s just not the case. She simply can’t see her true self-worth unless trusted friends like Aradia Megido, point it out to her.

To cope with her issues, Tavros usually turns to fleeing from situations and escapism, often sleeping her worries away.

It’s ok though. She's still cool as fuck. <—(Truth!)

Appreciation

I find Tavros Nitram to be an awesome person, because, well.. She's herself! Niche games and fandoms have always been my respite in the big, overwhelming world we live in, and I love the fact that Tavros thinks the same way.

Tavros is very open about her nerdy interests and belief in childish things like fairies or Pupa Pan, and she does things simply because she loves them! It’s kind of hedonistic, maybe even selfish, but that’s exactly the point. It’s so very inspiring to me. :)

I used to be a huge people pleaser! I used to keep my interests a secret!! I used to get stuck on stupid minor inconveniences and let them ruin my whole day!!! It was all so very bad for me. To see Tavros do the exact opposite, to choose to not conform, no matter what bullshit the comic threw at her was fucking awesome.

It was a breath of fresh air. Who knew you could just do that. I certainly didn’t. I wanted to do that, and not be affected by others’ comments. And now I’m here, with my own website. Wow! Tavros Nitram is an important contribution to my personal development!!

Also, seeing her be stereotypically cringe and a bitch to others is very empowering. I want to empower her. She should be more annoying and mean. It won’t fix her or me but you know. As a treat. }:D
